Holiday Branson Tour Package #1 – November 13 - 18, 2012

Board the coach at various towns along the way ~ Grand Rapids, Iron Range Cities, Duluth, Cloquet, Burnsville & Owatonna. Other stops along the way may be added if others wish to come along. Specifics will be announced closer to the time the tour departs. Just set your seats back and relax. You’ll find the day will go by quickly as you enjoy the company of fellow travelers aboard. We’ll make stops for the breakfast and lunch hour as well as a mid-afternoon stop on the MN/Iowa Border. We’ll stop every 2-½ to 3 hours for breaks.
6:00 pm - Estimated arrival to Des Moines, Iowa. The Drury Inn.
Tonight is at your leisure. The hotel offers hot & cold food items between 5:30-7 pm. There are also restaurants within walking distance.

Enjoy an included breakfast at the hotel before we depart for Branson. We’ll leave about 7:30 am. A mid-morning stop will made as well as a lunch stop en-route.
3:30 pm - Estimated arrival to our hotel – located on the 76 Strip in Branson, Missouri. BW Center Point Inn
We’ll settle into this wonderful property. The BW Center Point Inn has won many awards for Good Housekeeping plus the location is nearby theaters and museums. They offer a nice breakfast each morning as well. The rooms have two beds in them, coffeemakers, irons & ironing boards and hairdryers. Tonight we’ll take you to McFarlane’s (dinner included) and Imax Complex for time to explore after dinner and before the show.
8:00 pm - Reserved seats for the Hughes Family Christmas Show. This show was awarded Best Christmas Show”. The Hughes family will transport you to a Christmas wonderland filled with season’s best vocal harmonies, exciting dances, inspiring instrumentals, and of course, the enchantment & light hearted humor that everyone loves about the Hughes Brothers Show.

Enjoy a full breakfast served at BW Center Pointe Inn. Board the bus and take an area tour of the Ozark Mountains with local step on guide, Omar Gibson. Our tour will include a stop at the College of the Ozarks and the Fruitcake Factory.
1:00 pm - After our lunch, paying on own, we’ll travel to the RFD- TV Theater to see Dusty Rogers (Roy and Dale’s son) in the Roy Rogers Jr Show. He and his band the High Riders play great old time country music. We love seeing his show – they always sing “Happy Trails” to us.
After the show, dinner is included (Moon River Grille) before going to Moon River Theater to see Andy Williams. As many of you know, Andy is battling cancer and at the time this tour is being set up, he has not confirmed if he’ll be there to perform. He IS planning to be there unless circumstances beyond his control prevent him otherwise. So…other performers at this theater are the Lennon Sisters and “Oh What A Night” performers. (They do Four Season’s music!) We sure hope Andy will be well and able to be there…but regardless, we’ll continue to visit the Moon River Theater on our 2012 Branson tours. After the show, in case you’re not in the holiday spirit yet, we’ll drive through the Trail of Lights, where you’ll see lots of pretty lights.

7:00 am-A full breakfast awaits, at the BW Center Pointe Inn before beginning our day’s activities. The morning is open for you to enjoy an early morning show or visit a museum, per your own agenda. A favorite that many people do enjoy is a visit the Branson Landing Old Downtown Branson (and we can take you there). It’s a fun place to stroll or even to just window shop. You decide how busy you want to be. We can help you find something to fill this time if you wish. NOTE: Sometimes it nice not to have to do or go anywhere…especially when you have two big shows back to back (Daniel and Johnny). Now that’s a full day in itself.
1:00 pm - Right after lunch, we’ll board the coach and travel to the Tri-Lakes Theater for the Daniel O Donnell show! Daniel has one of the most popular shows in town and it’s difficult to secure tickets for his show unless you get them far in advance. And we HAVE tickets! And they are good seats near the front in the 10th row on the side where he walks down to greet his fans. Dinner. included with specifics TBA.
7:15 pm - After dinner, board the coach and we’ll travel just down the road to the Mansion Theater. Take your seats for the Johnny Mathis Show. He was fabulous last year and he sounds just as wonderful as he always has. He’ll sing all his big hits along with his personal Christmas collection that have become his signature songs.

We’ll enjoy another full breakfast before saying good-bye to Branson. Departure time is at 8:30 am. We’ll make stops along the way as we wind our way northward toward Des Moines -back to the Drury Inn. A stop at the Russell Stover’s Candy Outlet store in Kansas City will be made today. “Life really is like a box of chocolates”.
6:00 pm - Estimated arrival to Des Moines. Drury Inn

After breakfast at the Drury Inn, we’ll board the bus at 8:00 am and begin our journey to the Minnesota Northland. A stop in Owatonna at Cabella’s will be made since so many folks tell us they enjoy that stop. Here you can get lunch, paying on own, before continuing home. Estimated arrivals to the various towns are as follows; 4:30 pm - Cloquet; 5:00 - Duluth; 6:30 pm - Eveleth; 7:00 pm - Virginia; 7:30 pm - Hibbing; 8:15 pm Grand Rapids.
